On Saturday night (Valentine’s Day) I emcee’d a fundraiser for WIRE; it was mostly burlesque acts so I felt I should step up. I’ve been waiting to wear this dress for a while and a follow-spot seemed to be the perfect occasion.

Had to bold and italicise the dress cost, as I’m still bewildered by its sheer awesomeosity. The little sparkles you can see across the shoulder and waist are hand-glued little clumps of glitter, all original from the ’70s! I added my ‘engagement party’ shoes, which on that night I had done up with my BeJeweller (like a BeDazzler, but for putting on HotFix gems) to indulge my not-so-secret Strictly Ballroom fantasies.

Apologies to those of you waiting with bated breath for the next scintillating installment in my fashion travels, I’ve been workin’ real hard plz thx for the last week organising volunteers and other stuff, and will be easing back into the non-tracksuit-pants-and-thongs world this week. Your patience will be “rewarded”!
